August 29 — Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine who gave their lives in the struggle for the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine

On August 29, we honor the blessed memory of all Defenders of Ukraine — men and women — who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our state. This day is a symbol of ultimate sacrifice, courage, and boundless love for the Homeland.

The memory of the fallen is not only a tribute of respect. It is our duty — to continue their cause, to strengthen the state, and to defend its future. We express our profound gratitude to everyone who stands in the ranks today, fighting for Victory, and we support the families of the Heroes who have lost their dearest.

The National Defence University of Ukraine trains a new generation of officers every day — a generation that preserves this memory while at the same time creating a new history of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
