Department of Civil-Military Cooperation is a structural unit of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Military History, Law and Social Sciences of the National Defence University of Ukraine, which conducts educational activities at the second (master’s) level of higher education and provides advanced training for military specialists on civil-military cooperation issues to meet the needs of the security and defence sector of Ukraine, and carries out scientific and scientific-technical activities in defined research areas.

The main tasks of the Department of Civil-Military Cooperation are as follows:

organizing and conducting educational activities for the training of commissioned officers to obtain the second (master’s) level of higher education for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the security and defence forces of Ukraine in the field of knowledge ‟Kˮ (Security and Defence), specialty K6 ‟Support of Troops (Forces)ˮ under the educational and professional program ‟Organization of Civil-Military Cooperation in Troops (Forces)ˮ;

participating in the training of highly qualified military professionals at the second (master’s) level of higher education for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the security and defence forces of Ukraine in the specialities and specialisations offered at the university;

participating in conducting courses for officers of joint operational-level staffs L-3 and senior strategic-level command personnel L-4;

conducting advanced training courses for personnel of civil-military cooperation structures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the security and defence forces of Ukraine;

participating in the advanced training of military personnel, employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, officials of other components of the security and defence forces of Ukraine, and civil servants in the field of civil-military cooperation;

studying and incorporating into the educational process the requirements of governing documents and the experience of the War of Independence of Ukraine, as well as the combat training of troops (forces) in the area of civil-military cooperation;

conducting scientific research in the field of civil-military cooperation, including at the request of security and defence sector authorities, and incorporating its results into the educational process.
