General information
The Department of logistics support, as a structural subdivision of the Institute of Logistics and Support of Troops (Forces), is intended for training students of strategic and operational levels of training in reasonable forms and methods of management activities regarding the organization of logistical (rear) support and its management in peacetime and wartime.
Educational activities of the department:
The department of logistics support carries out its activities in accordance with the requirements of the Constitution and current legislation of Ukraine, the Laws of Ukraine "On Education", "On Higher Education", "On Scientific and Scientific and Technical Activities" and is guided by the requirements of the joint orders of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine and the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The department of logistics support takes part in the training of trainees of the strategic and operational level, of all specialties and specializations.
The department of rear support prepares students of the operational level of specialty 254 "Supply of troops (forces)" specialization "Organization of rear support of military units by types and types of troops and forces".
Since 2023, the department of logistics support has been training students of the operational level of specialty 254 "Supply of troops (forces)" specialization "Organization of logistic support".
Scientific and pedagogic employees of the department of logistics support train students in all directions at advanced training and professional level courses of the Center for retraining and advanced training of the National University of Defense of Ukraine.
Scientific and scientific and technical activity
The department conducts scientific research in the following areas:
- improving the logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine based on the experience of repelling large-scale aggression by the russian federation and the Armed Forces of Ukraine (ATO, JFO);
- development of forms and methods of training, use of forces and means of logistical (rear) support of operational groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the order of the Command of the logistics forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the head of the University, in 2024, the implementation of the scientific research work "Justification of ways to increase the survivability of the forces and means of logistical support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" began.
Scientific cooperation with educational institutions of international partners
The department of logistics support takes part in a course of lectures on the study of the experience of the Russian-Ukrainian war at the NATO High School. Thus, classes have been held at the Defense Academy of Lithuania, Latvia, Norway and Poland on the topics: "International technical assistance to Ukraine" and "The influence of logistics on the conduct of operations in the north and south of Ukraine" since 202.
The department of logistics took part in a scientific seminar on the development of educational programs at the Royal Logistic Corps (Winchester, UK) in March 2023.
Today, the department continues to train logistics specialists for the State Defense Forces.
